So on Wednesday, Shaikhah asked me out on a date. Hehe. I was excited you know! Like finally someone asks me out on a date after I have been rather date-less for close to 3 weeks. Ok crap.
Anyway, little did I know why she asked me out on a date. It was because she needed me to walk with her at this God forsaken place. I tell you, the weather was already not much of a help. What with the scorching hot sun. Of course it was better than having a rainy weather. However the point is, scorching hot sun and dust is an absolutely bad combination. Luckily I was in comfortable shoes.
Speaking of shoes, Shaikah, I want to get those shoes from VNC. Yup. Made up my mind. Accompany me when The Great Singapore Sale starts alright? Do you think Ansari would want those tees from New Urban Male? Hurhur.
Right. So after that, we proceeded for lunch at Tampines.
In the train... All oily and tired...
What I wore on Tuesday...
So we settled for Century Square's Food Culture. Maklom lah ade orang tu tak pernah makan kat situ.
My spaghetti bolognese in beef sauce with crispy chicken... Damn sedap I swear!!
Shaikhah's spaghetti bolognese in chicken sauce with crispy chicken...
My umm... Ummm...
What was that ah Shaikhah? I can't remember what I ordered. Especially since you were the one who ordered for me. Heh.
So while I was waiting for Shaikhah to come back from the dessert stall, I thought I saw someone. I was scared though that I had gotten it wrong so what did I do? I just continued observing from afar. As that someone walked towards the dessert stall, looked up at the menu, went forward and stood beside Shaikhah and looked at the dessert ingredients and then proceeded to flirt with the dessert stall auntie!
Ok the last bit was complete untruth by the way. The bottomline is... I was too shy to do anything. To even call or sms. I only did that after I reached my tuition kid's place.
And so yes. It was Kassim that I saw. In a white tee and jeans. All selenge looking. Hehehe.
Shaikhah, Ansari blom balik lagi eh?
Blom Azreen... *smiles*
We saw an ex-jc school mate. The one that both of us cannot tolerate. Hurhur. Shaikhah had an easy time ok because while eating, she had her back towards her while I had the misfortune of having the full view of her face!
So I guess I really had a bowl of bitchy for breakfast on Wednesday morning that I just continued looking in her direction and she of course caught me doing that several times and all those times I did not smile or anything but just looked past her.
Oh those absolutely mean jokes...
"Hi Azreen! You have lost so much weight!"
"Oh hi. I see you still look the same. No change physically. And you are STILL the SAME PERSON! KEEP IT UP!!!"
Enough of that.
Thursday... Had a date with Azura. Met up at Bugis. I cannot fathom why that woman decided to wear a blazer when the sun was shining so brightly. It was a black blazer some more! To think she had an absolutely nice green top underneath! Sheesh.
As both of us were terribly hungry (we were talking about food on MSN the night before!), we proceeded to have lunch at Banquet first.
Azura's Yong Taufu with Beehoon although her actual order was a Dry Yong Taufu...
My chicken rice... I haven't had chicken rice for the LONGEST time!
My Yong Taufu...
So then we went on our mini shopping spree. Well more like mine actually because we were on a quest to get me a long turqoise skirt. We walked around Bugis Village. No long skirts caught my eye but a whole truckload of clothes, bags, shoes and mid-length skirts caught my eye though.
I got myself 2 new bags from Bugis Village actually...
Ta-daa!
The total cost for 2 of them was supposed to come up to $40 but I asked for $30 so in the end the lady sold them to me for $33. Good buy I must say. She thanked me for buying the bags and said that if she strikes 4D on Saturday, she insist that me and Azura come down to her store and she will give out angpows.
And do you know what she said about herself?
"Because I gentleman ah, I also give angpow to you (referring to Azura). You never buy bag also can. Still get angpow"
In the end, bought my long turqoise skirt at This Fashion. I have not gotten myself anything from This Fashion for the longest time simply because I do not fancy the clothes there. I have to say though that they had very nice long skirts. Of course the long skirt was not that long till it touched the floor (like Azura's) and it did not have that nice, kembang effect (like Azura's) when I twirled around in it.
It's simply because Azura is short and I am well taller.
Oh, we tried the new banana milkshake from Macs. Yummy. Of course Azura kept saying that the one sold at the engineering faculty is much much nicer. So Kassim, when you get back to school, try the banana milkshake lah. Azura has been promoting it macam nak giler.
I tell you, being out with Azura is always so so tiring. We tire ourselves from laughing too much. Serious. I laugh so much more with her than all my other friends. I laughed so much till I felt thirsty for the entire day (even now!) and she kept complaining that her jaw hurt from laughing too much.
Oh oh... While Azura kept bumping into almost every single person at Bugis Village, I got molested lah!
This chinese fella, he was walking towards me. Then as he walked past me, he conveniently brushed his entire arm on my thigh! Yes. His arm was on my left thigh for like 3 seconds (which is a long time ok!).
I mean come on la! We all know the difference between accidental brushing and ummm... brushing with purpose. Even Azura saw it. She in turn looked at me and I was staring at that fella as he nonchalantly walked on. I seriously turned my head around and looked at him.
Which of course was nothing but that was all I could afford to do. Sigh. The place was not even crowded. Sigh. Wat luck! Luckily he did not brush his arm against my breast or something.
Anyway, after we were tired of walking, we sat at Macs. Hahaha. This time Azura and me were so thirsty that we shared a large coke. Lepas banana milkshake, coke pulak.
Again we laughed like mad. Banged on the table. Me complaining of being tired from laughing and she complaining that her jaw hurt but we continued laughing away.
So engrossed in her coke till she looked pissed when I snapped this...
Love my tee!
My favourite shot of the day!
Have to say Azura is a good shopping companion. Although she has always been so so much better at curbing her urges to spend (unlike me!), it is still nice to go shopping with her. Patient. Honest opinions.
Besssst!!!
Neeta, how to meet you on Monday??!!?! I'm soooooo NOT going to Bugis with you on Monday again. Duit dah terbang! Still got money la but I must NOT spend anymore. Bluek.
I just watched Munich with Ayah. Fantastic movie but it was a wrong decision to watch it with Ayah. Bad, bad move.
Luckily I did not catch it in cinemas with Abang and the rest. If not... Well all I can say is...
OHHHHH MY GAWDERRRRRRRR
