Wednesday, April 12, 2006

It's almost 12:30am. Mindae's flight will be leaving for Sydney in a while. You see when Neeta told me that Mindae would be leaving on 12th April, I thought his flight would be around 9pm or 10pm and I told myself that if I could make it, I would certainly make my way to the airport with Neeta to send him off.

However, on Monday, Neeta smsed me to tell me that Mindae was leaving the day after. So technically his flight is still on the 12th April but on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (whichever way you all see it). I would still have sent him off but since it was too late for Neeta, well, none of us sent him off in the end. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if Neeta had begged me to accompany her to send him off.

Gosh. Neeta sounded so sad in her sms. The moment I read her sms, somehow I felt like crying. Which I almost did as I could clearly relate to her feelings but seeing I was outside then, I fought back my tears and replied her sms calmly.

Don't worry Neeta. I have already smsed Mindae my well wishes and he told me to take care of you which I will try to do. I do know you will need some company over the next few weeks to take your mind off Mindae being away but I can't promise you that I'll be able to meet you all the time as I am very busy. Very very busy.

All unhappiness aside, Yours Truly has been doing a bit of spending over the past few days.

On Saturday, as usual I had to tutor Nabilah. After that, Nabilah went for her Andalus class and I plonked myself on the sofa and took pictures...

Nazurah just LOVE to take pictures...

Taken after Nadiah got home from her Kumon class...

Then they wanted to watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory so my aunt played the VCD for us. That was the only time Nadiah and Nazurah were quiet. They were so engrossed over the show that I almost couldn't believe it!

After Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was done, we watched The Pacifier. Naik lemak tau budak-budak tu. Tengok VCD je. Bukannye nak bace buku.

So after that, I left my aunt's close to 7pm and made my way to Kembangan as I had already promised to treat my parents, my nenek, my aunt and my uncle. We ate at Mak's Place.

My aunt and me...

The aftermath...

I spent a whopping $127! We ordered Butter Prawns, Sweet and Sour Squid, Baby Kailan with Beef, Steamed Fish with Soya Sauce, Hot Plate Sambal Tofu and Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin. But it's ok. A once in a while thing. Besides it was afterall a meal for 6 people so I guess the amount spent was worth it.

She was a happy woman after my treat!

My aunt was complaining that she has gotten so bulat which I agreed. I wasn't being rude but I was just merely telling the truth. This aunt of mine simply love to eat and eat and eat. It's horrible going anywhere with her be it to Johor Bahru or Melaka or Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur or anywhere else as her number 1 favourite past time is snacking.

She said she can't sleep and feel something is amiss if she does not snack on anything. So when I asked her what her weight was, she said she's 60kg.

I started thinking as she will be turning 41 in exactly 12 days time and she is only 60kg. Wonder what my weight will be when I turn 40. Please do note I weighed a hefty 60kg back in Secondary School so I certainly do not know how much I will balloon up once I start having kids and especially when I reach the dreaded age of 40.

And this is the face of the happy lady who paid for dinner...

So Monday was shopping day for me. After school ended, I engaged in a bit of retail therapy. Got to put my NETS Card to good use. Afterall I'm a NETS Rewards member so rugi lah kalau tak swipe itu NETS Card.

Guess what I bought...

See my name on this tee??

I had the tee custom made of course. When I stand in front of the mirror, the tee will have Ansari written across it. Heh. Paid the lady 20 bux on Monday on top of my 5 bux deposit to get her to come up with the design.

2 tees from Outfitter Girls at Plaza Singapura...

Because I walked into the store wearing a tee from their shop, I actually got a 20% discount off their regular items. So instead of paying 25 bux for each tee, I ended up paying only 20 bux for each. I wanted to buy more though but they ran out of my size. I wear a Size 1 but most of the tees were left with Size 5 and 7 which is a big no-no. I do not like my tops loose. I like them to fit me nicely. Tightly.

New stocks with bolder captions will be coming in 2 weeks time. Yay-ness!! I would have gotten paid by then.

Then upon reaching Tampines and seeing that I had some time left before I had to teach tuition, I walked into Fox which was a bad mistake right from the start.

You see, I have been going crazy over Fox's Summer Collection for weeks now (ever since they emailed me their newsletter) but I told myself the only way for me to not end up purchasing anything from there is to simply not walk into the store. Of course the stubborn me refused to listen to my head, so I did some more damages to my bank account.

I actually felt like buying almost the entire store. I'm serious. Tak bedek. I even felt like buying tees for Ansari but seeing how cerewet he can be at times, I decided not to do that. Perhaps one of these days if I feel nice and if he is nice to me, I'll drag him into Fox and give him a treat and let him choose the tees himself.

So I tried on a few stuff. In the end I left Fox with this...

A cargo washed miniskirt...

It looks more like a pair of shorts actually. Heh. I'm sure when Ansari sees me in it, he is going to be so displeased over the length of the skirt. Or more appropriately, the lack of length.

Eh my money what. I shall buy what I want using my own money. Anyway, I told myself that I will only wear this miniskirt when I'm out with Ansari and no one else. Not even with The Kukuz. Not even to school. I'm aware of how short it is. I just have to bent over slightly and my ass can be seen. It's only 31 cm long (short?) mind you.

However I simply had to buy it because it felt so comfortable lah. They were available in size 36, 38 and 40. Initially I tried on 40 and it was too big. Then I went down to size 38 and it was loose soooooo I had to settle for 36. Honestly, if I could fit in 38, I would have gotten it as it is a little bit longer too. But then, 38 was loose. If I wear it, the skirt would have ended up turning itself round and round each time I walk.

By the way, it cost me 39 bux.

And then when I made my purchase, I was given a Fox Catalogue. Damn! That was the last thing I needed. Initially I was afraid to flip through the catalogue as I didn't want to be tempted. Then I thought it was no harm browsing through it. However, at the last page of the catalogue, there was a $5 voucher for tees and $15 voucher for jeans.

Damn!

This thing is tempting me even more!

My shopping trip at Fox was almost spoilt by a certain someone though. He happened to be in the same place as me, looking at some polo tees. Of course I was wondering why he was out of camp. I felt very uncomfortable with him around me.

To think he had the cheek to look at me and each time I turned to look at him, he pretended as if he was looking at something behind me instead! The nerve of the glow in the dark anneh.

Then when he finally was out of the store and after I made my purchase and stood at the traffic light wanting to make my way towards the interchange, he came from my left with a McFlurry in his hands and stood smack in front of me.

I swear I had wanted to slap that botak head of his but I kept my cool and moved away. What an asshole.

After tuition ended, I smsed Lulu. Had a talk with Abg and Acap when I reached home. Heard some more stories about him. Goodness! I have absolutely no words to describe him.

To call him a liar, despicable, story-teller and two-faced is really an understatement.

Oh well. He will get his just desserts one day. In the meantime, Yours Truly is a really happy lady as she feels that the 99 bux she spent on Monday was worth every single cent.

*smile*
